Advert on DoneDeal using my Photo

I sold my bike late last year and it went to a really good home etc.

Anyway, upon browsing Done Deal today I found a CBF500 advertised with a photo of my old CBF that I took at my house when selling it. It seems very misleading to use someone else's photo to advertise your bike.

The extras listed are almost identical to what my bike had but my bike was a German import as the blue colour was never available in the UK or Ireland. I'm sure very few of them made it over here.

Anyone been in a similar position? It seems very strange and possibly very misleading.

Could be the person you sold it to being lazy or someone running a scam.

Give the guy a call and see if he's legit. If not report the ad.

I'm 99.9% sure that it's not the guy I sold it to. He was a really nice and genuine bike enthusiast who was buying the bike for his son; they're not from anywhere near Dublin either. Says that he 'owned the bike for 5 years' too, I sold it in November.

and send the seller an invoice for €100 for usage of your image (your copyright)

    seriously !!

take screenshots - for evidence....copyright theft is illegal and the quicker people learn that using an image someone else took is a breach of copyright unless you have their permission.

it could potentially be worth a couple of hundred or more to you.

I reported it last night and got an email from Done Deal today saying that they removed the photo.
