    So I will applying for a learner permit for the D1 category this week. I have an existing full b licence. My question is will i get a new credit card style licence or will the category be added to my b paper licence

    You'll get a separate learners permit for the D1 I assume it'll be a CC type, then when you pass you'll get the new CC licence with both which will be free.

    Why are you only going for D1? Lessons are roughly the same for D

    Afraid not del, the b*stsards now charge €35 to add a category :mad:
