I think itll be strong for at least the first 6 months of the year.Id say itll be somewhere around 33 to 34 cent base but im an arrabawn supplier so more than likely to be a cent at least behind this.Have to say im optimistic for the year ahead.First cows milk went to the tank today for collection next monday or tuesday. All i need now is the weather to dry up and turn the cows out

I think, some vested interest somewhere is busy working on a plan to find horse milk in Irish dairy products so as to ensure we have a sub 27c/l and plenty profits for everyone but the farmer going forward.

With Cereal prices tipped to stay strong for the next 12-18 months milk prices should strenghten. The big thing for farmers is not to get carried away we may well see high milk solids milk making 40+cent/litre towards the year's end. However a year is a long time in the food industry as Larry would say.

Jex milk will average 40+ per litre. Considering variable cost increases it would need to be
