The Telstar watch brand was founded in Shannon, Ireland in 1975 - originally selling LED electronic watches on the Irish market. With technological changes over the years since then, the product range has grown to include quartz watches of all descriptions, from children's watches to matching watch and jewellery sets. One thing which has not changed is our focus on quality and value, as evidenced by our 5-year guarantee.

Yes I know they are quartz, and likely assembled/made abroad, but at least its an Irish watch company, no doubt they do provide employment for some Irish people, and a 5 year guarantee is pretty decent.

If looking for a cheap quartz i'd say you could do worse ?

    Any experience of them ?

I haven't handled one myself but have dealt with the company through work. Lovely people and put in a lot of effort in terms of customer service.

Heh that said I suppose I should see one in the flesh one of these days.

Thanks Wonder for your interest in our brand. As you mention we are indeed an Irish company and are still based at the same unit here in Shannon.

We are proud of our 5-year guarantee and believe it's a good selling point. If you have any questions about specific models or the brand itself, you can send me a PM or send an email to the address on our website.

    Regards,
