    Hi all

27 year old male of slim build with beer/bad diet belly. I now plan to get rid of the belly and bulk up. My diet last week consisted of pure crap I've now tried to plan more healthy diet although its hard with shift work and kids to look after. I'm a pure beginner to lifting weights but bought myself a set of weights and a pull up bar I can use at home. Below is my typical diet

    Diet

Breakfast: porridge scrambled egg and maxi muscle protein shake.

    Lunch:
Cheese and ham sandwich, apple, banana, orange and unsalted nuts. Protein shake

    Dinner:
Chicken fillets or pork with veg and potatoes.

    Tea:
Some tuna and peanut butter on crackers with protein shake.

I drink around two litres of water per day.

Training now consists of 1 hour 5 a side indoor football on Monday and Saturday. I plan now to introduce weight training on my non football days. Can somebody please advise me on we're to start with weights programme unfortunately it's not a finically possible to hire personal trainer.
Also any apps or books which you think will be helpful for diet or weights?

You should start with a full body workout 3 times a week, google starting strength or stronglifts.

Dont know enough about dieting yet to comment only that maybe you should get the bulking out of the way first and then look into shifting the belly?

    Whats your height and weight?

Click link for workout....get your 1 rep maxes input them into spread sheet and lift what it tells you to lift and eat.
    Sorted.

Have a look there first anyway.

Dont worry about all this bulking or cutting stuff. Focus on training first, getting into training regularly with some kind of a plan of what you are gonna do.
