ok lads its time for me to sort my diet out. im not getting as much results as id like and ive gained a bit of a belly in my 1 and a half years of working out

heres my typical gym day food intake..

wakeup: allways have 3 hard boiled eggs using only 1 yolk. on toast(brown when we have it) i usually have beans on the side and sometimes tuna instead.

20 minutes later id have my protein shake and then head off to the gym.

on the way home id hand another protein shake.

get home and put on a chicken fillet allways..with either pasta or a potato and some vegtables.

dinner is whats the real problem..id eat whatever my mum makes..alot of the time its steak or chicken fillets..but theirs allways loads of mash potato, croquet and stuff. or chips.

id usually try get more eggs into me after that around 8-9pm or a tuna sandwich.

im prone to having late night snacks..cornflakes, toast..anything full of carbs and fat really.

so i know i need to cut down on all the potatos and **** but what could i have with my fillet/steak instead?

im 6"3 and about 13 stone. i was only just under 12 stone when i started working out. ive gained SOME muscle but not much..alot of the weight went to my belly area so i really just want to get rid of it. ive been doing cardio on and off but this week im gona stick to the HiiT twice a week and 1 joggin day inbetween.

any tips? id love a few exmaples of what you guys eat for lunch and dinner. sorry that this post is all over the place lol

Why only one yolk? Egg those yolks. They are full of healthy fats.

    Ditch the pasta.

If you really need a snack have a healthy one. Nuts. Toast and cornflakes are not healthy.

    Vegetables? Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peas?

You really need to work out what your calorie intake should be. Track your calories on a site like fitday or myfitnesspal.

This a relative statment, Pasta as it stands isnt a "bad food" , it's a complex carb, and give you energy, however, I'd say you're stuffing your face with the stuff, and given you have no idea where your macro's stand at the moment cutting out some wont kill you.

It's pretty easy actually, they do have a lot of food, get a small digital weighting scales , and weight you're food, it's easy and simple, and in fairness, it'll also help you learan how to organise your life, in general ..

Any reason for this or do you just not like the yolks?

As Hardonraging already said it's not a hugely bad food. I personally think its got very little nutritional value and peoples portions of it are largely bigger than the recommended portion. There also isn't a huge about a difference between any brown and white foods.

It's very easy these days. You don't always need to do it. Do it for a full 2 weeks to get an idea of what you are eating. Use a weighing scales to weigh your food.

    Best of luck :)
