confidentiality and evidence

    Hi,

I am going to have a hearing to the Rights Commissioner as claimant.

I had a confidential information about pay from another employee, but he asked to don't do his name.
My problem is: if I disclose the info at the hearing the employer can easily understand who gave me the information (I can't go more in details) and I want to avoid to recognize this person.

The rights commissioner told me that I could ask for confidentiality about the name, but it is the RC that eventually decide to keep secret or not the name and that anyway any documentation I supply the RC has to be shared with the other party.

So I wonder if I can wait till the hearing, but I have no clue how to use this info, at the hearing, info that is very important for me. Could the RC could decide to act by himself after the hearing to find the evidence , without exposing the person that gave me such info?

    Thanks in advance
