I personally love the naruto series , I have collected the entire 1st series on dvd ( 15 boxsets total) . Only gripe with the tv-series is the amount of filler ( you don't get as much in the manga.

I would recomend picking up 1 or 2 of the manga's and see if you like it. Its not everyone's cup of tea , some prefer Bleach or one-piece.
