Every single time I go on my holidays i am always put in the middle of the plane
no matter where i go , what time its booked at , everytime im always at the poxy wing

i remember last year , the menu had pizza on it , i think it was like 2 slices of pizza and a small coke for like 6quid or something , apparently 2/3rds of the plane got what they wanted but everyone else didnt , how come they never stack a good amount of food on the plane , i mean if your serving pizza on a plane odds are most people will take that over mouldy sausages and creamy patatos, this was a long flight so ive finally learned to just make my own sandwichs for flights now, has anyone ever had this? always happens to me....
i guarrentee you this june no matter what part of the plane i get stuck in this time i wont get what i want

I've only had pizza on a plane once and it was rank. I'd probably choose sausage s and mashed potato over 2 slices of pizza any day. That being said, I don't think I've ever not got what I wanted on a plane.

So you have enough to eat, it's just them?

OP, I now have an image of you eating everything on the plane, then running up and down the aisle screaming "FOOD! I NEED FOOD! ARRGGHH!!"

Just bring a bag of crisps for feck's sake.

Plane food is crap anyway, bring a few sandwiches with you

I doubt it's an accident. They probably did an analysy of what it would cost to stock each plane to maximum theoretical levels, ie pizza and drink for everyone and everyone actually wants to buy it. Then they did an analysy of what it would cost them if no-one bought all that and it gets dumped. After a few more versions, they hit on one where the upside outweighed the downside and stuck at that, which is a long winded way of saying sit near the front or the back, there's usually not enough to go round. And it's deliberate.:)

Can you not just eat the other passengers after they succumb to starvation?

I learned how to make sushi so I bring that instead. Can't bate a good movie on the netbook, a dish of sushi, and a hot cuppa on those long flights.

You'd actually voluntarily eat that stuff? It's pure scrap. I'd rather eat nothing.

Get a subway before you board the plane. A 12' and a bag of crisps is just the perfect amount of food for most longish flights.
Airline food is microwaved to within an inch of its life.

Are you the widower who's going to sue the airline?

    fyp

also taste buds don't work so well at cabin pressure

the reasons to feed you are
    - because it's the law on long distance flights
    - to keep you busy/distracted
    - to make money from a captive audience

    Plane food is awesome

'Would you like chicken curry with couscous or beef ravioli with tomato puree Sir?'

    'I'll have the curry please'

    'Certainly sir'

And a big dollop of shite lands on your lap.

Most of the meat is actually the processed remains of birds that get sliced up in the engines.

But, nothing tastes as nice as them little tubes of pringles, the tiddly, delicious Pepsi and a chicken and stuffing sandwich. Followed by a scratchcard to while away the hour. And the "well, look at me, buying sh1t on a plane" feeling you get as you place your order with the trollie dollie in the overtight knee-length skirt.with those tights....

I love plane food. I get so excited when the cart comes.

Then I get extra because whoever I'm with doesn't want theirs. Flew 8 hours a couple of years ago, got 2 of everything because my boyfriend at the time was too ill.

And I spend a fortune in the sky mall, everything looks better. I leave the plane with a watch for each wrist, perfume to last me a decade, a shed load of toblerone, make up, earrings...I hate flying so sometimes I just sit there and don't move for 8 hours, keep my eyes closed and scream every time the planes jumps a bit.

a mini can of heino and a mini tub of pringles does me

Sushi and a cup of tea. If someone pulled that out next to me on the plane I would vomit in their lap.

The best food you can have on a plane is the stuff they don't make themselves. I had 4 cadburys yoghurts last time I flew a reasonable distance, was lovely :)

OP - just be grateful that you at least will have something to eat on board the airplane as opposed to being eaten along with all the other passengers by Mega Shark.

Other air passengers have not been so fortunate...:(

That's obviously fake, the plane is flying far too low.

Its the same with those cargo planes dropping food parcels in Africa. Never enough food on those planes.

Plumpynut is bulky and takes up a lot of space.
