Physios who take medical cards

Maybe, it's the wrong forum, so push me into the right one, if I'm wrong here :)

I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder last week, got some Diafene for it, but the doctor also told me, I need to see a physio.

Am a bit on a tight budget atm, so would a physio take a medical card?

And are there any good physios in the Dublin 9 area? I'm living off Collins Avenue.

    Thanks

    I'm almost 100% certain this doesn't happen.

You'll need a letter from your doctor as a referral.

As a medical card holder you can get physio for free in Beaumont physiotherapy dept, you may be waiting for an appointment though.

If you go to a private physio therapist this is not covered under the medical card.

Community Physios work on the GMS but by referral only and there may be a wait.

Your shoulder will be we'll thawed out by the time you get an appointment with a community physio

That's very encouraging, but I expected something like that already ;)

I guess, I have to shop around, and maybe ask, if I get at least some of the costs refunded from work...well...the 'refunded from work' part might be an illusion, I guess.
