    Hi All
Was looking to buy an imported motorhome but the guy selling it hasnt got the log book. he only has an invoice and a form listing details of vehicle.
he said i could contact the Belgian department of transport and request a cert/logbbok from them.
has anyone any experience of this?
    any help would be appreciated.

IMO if you deal with this seller don't be surprised if you end up on a bananaskin

No way would I buy any vehicle without all its documentation being present and correct.

I agree with niloc, either walk away or insist that seller gets all documents before you'll deal with him.

    Sounds decidedly dodgy to me:(.

Yeah totally dodgy, why has he not got the log book from the Belgian department of transport if it was an option to do so?

Gut feelings and instinct are there for a reason ... walk away.
