    Do you need to have a PPS number before you can buy Irish health insurance?

    When applying online, all that's wanted is your money through Direct Debit or Salary deduction. No request for PPS (on VHI.ie ) anyway.

    I ended up needing a pps number for my spouse to add her to the policy
