Bearings going in Focus?

    Hi all,
Driving home from my parents house late last night and noticed some weird noises from my front left wheel.

There is no problem when driving straight but when I turn into a left-hand corner, there is a noise like ball bearings slipping. The only other way I can describe it is like when you put a stick against the spokes of a spinning bike wheel ("clack-clack-clack" but sounding softer). I get the same noise when turning right but not as often or loud.

I hit a pothole very hard about 4 months ago (front left) and this may have caused a problem.

Is this something I need checked immediately? Would it cost much?

    Thanks all!

Right, need to find out what that might cost. If ever there was a time I didn't need this, it's this month
