    HI all,

Does anyone know where I might be able to get tickets for a Cowboys game for next season. Can they be got in Ireland?
Have discussed a driving holiday in America in autumn and asked my better half if we could take in a game. She has agreed:D
So just wanted to see if any of the boardsies have any experience of getting tickets...do i need to be a member...are tickets issued on lottery basis..can i turn up on the day!!!!!
Also anyone care to share their experiences of attending a match in America...what was it like????

Stubhub or Ticketmaster's Ticket Exchange will be your best bet I'd say

First stop would be the Cowboys own website, but it might be a little early now for them to be on sale. After that keep an eye on stubhub, it'll give you a good indication of the going rate for tickets in different parts of the stadium. Also look out on ebay a little closer to the game, bidding on there is a bit of work but you might get a better deal than buying off stubhub or wherever (make sure to cross check th asking price on ebay with how much you would expect to be spending for the section the tickets are in).

In terms of what it's like, I would say it's well worth going, fantastic atmosphere. I was at the Bears-Packers game in Soldier Field before Christmas. For the record my tickets were pricey, 150 dollars in the cheap seats (must say the view was still excellent though, it's a good stadium in that sense). It was unique, very unlike the atmosphere at various different sports over here, and they sure put on a show (jets flying overhead during the anthem, and various in-game whizz bang stuff that is just completely alien to our sporting culture). Enjoy it, you wont often get a chance to be at a Cowboys game so take the opportunity if it's there. Probably be cheaper than the game I was at (smaller stadium, massive classic rivalry game with a lot at stake on the day).

The earlier you're looking into it the better. Have you looked at their schedule, maybe picked out a game to go to? (The Redskins in Dallas would be savage craic I'd say)

Also if you do use scorebig, you can get $15 off your first order if you use the code 'football' (courtesy of ESPN's Football Today podcast).

However as the schedule isn't announced yet, there'll be no tickets on any of the secondary market sites yet.

I've only ever been to a Redskins game but I'd say they're similar to the Cowboys in that single game tickets aren't available from the team itself and the only way to get tickets is via the secondary markets.

    Hi Guys,

Done a quick search and found this thread. I'm heading to NYC in December this year and have checked the schedule, Giants are playing the Eagles at home on 28/12.

I have been looking around at ticket outlets and Stubhub appears to have the best value. I've seen it (stubhub) recommended on here a few years ago and am wondering if anyone has bought off them recently and if they are still ok to buy from? Stubhub seems to have slightly better seats for sale than TM and costs less.

Another question, from the sites I have been looking on (ticketmaster, ticketcity. stubhub etc) there seem to be relatively few seats left. Do ye think that this is because they are slowly releasing the tickets or that it is already close to a sellout? Would I be better buying now or holding out until closer to the time?

Also, this is my first game to go to so any advice welcome on how to get the full NFL experience is appreciated!

    Cheers.

    Stubhub is fine, safe etc.

It is a secondary market site though, so it is essentially fans selling on their own tickets. They would not be holding any tickets back.

If they have a tixket you are happy with I'd say pull the trigger now.

If the Giants or Eagles lose a few games you may see the price coming down but that is a dangerous game to play.

    Thanks Adrian,

Didn't realise that it was a secondary selling thing. Will probably go ahead with it now so if it's safe enough. Read a few more recent reviews around the web last night and it seems like a good site.

Will be buying one of the cheap tickets up in the Gods anyway so probably not come down too much!

Here's hoping it's a big game with something riding on it now!

Yeah, I used them for college and NFL tickets last year, no problems with either. Enjoy the game, try and get there early for the tail gate.

Just booked them there, thanks again. I'm up in section 329. Hope I haven't landed myself in the visitor section - only thought about that after booking them! Am reading around about that now but can't really find much on it.

Yeah I'm looking into all those things (tailgate / what to do pre match etc) now, going to get out nice and early and see what's going on and take it all in.

There's no real visitor sections in NFL stadiums. Stub hub tickets are probably season ticket holders who can't make that game.

Dead on, thanks. I'm on the side of the pitch which will be designated to the Eagles so was guessing they might have a few fan sections over that side. Shouldn't make much odds either way.

Looked up those tailgating parties, seems like great craic - hope they're as much fun in the depths of winter!

I appreciate that this thread is a few months old but I bought tickets also to the Giants / Eagles game from stubhub recently as we will be there over New Years. I opted for the instant ticket download & have printed off the tickets

The original owners name is on the ticket, what's to stop the owner getting to the game before me & then there being an issue with my tickets when I get there, just a bit concerned

    Thanks

Have you a record of the transaction?

Of course, from both stubhub & paypal but assume security wont care if another print out of the ticket has already been scanned and somebody already in the seats

Yeah I'm not sure what you would be able to do on the day but you could certainly pursue them later. Not much good to you at the time. I dunno have they safeguards in place to prevent that kind of thing.
