Takeaway this evening - help please

    Hi,

So I am having a treat this evening and getting in a take away. I can't decide between a Vegetable Chow Mein from the Chinese and a Tofu Pad Thai from the Thai place. Which is the healthier / lowest calorie/fat option? I am aware that neither are exactly healthy but, as I said, it's a treat evening. In saying that, though, I want to go with the healthier of the two.

Any advice would be very very much appreciated!

    Thanks :)

not really, did you even read my answer??

its like asking whats better mcdonalds or burger king. also how are people supposed to know beacause of portion sizes and different outlets sell different types of the same foods so your not going to get a proper answer. just enjoy a takeout and dont worry about calories or whatever, if you are concerned dont get a takeout and cook a meal

Iirc, pad thai is laced with sugar.

I see you are in Dublin. Bombay Pantry do two great dahls, amongst other veg/vegan options. I don't know what exactly they put in theirs, but I reckon it's much healthier than what you mentioned.

Get a salad from a decent Thai (e.g. Diep, Kanum, Siam). Some of them I would go as far as describing as healthy (assuming no sneaky hidden ingredients) and can be very filling and tasty.
