Posted this the other day and the prisoners thread reminds me again of it.

Bleeding heart = Your opinions towards prisoners/the unemployed/etc. are not as bloodthirsty, vindictive and right wing as mine therefore you are a bleeding heart

Ok I don't think this thread is for you.

Perhaps you'd like to start a dictionary thread.

These aren't code words. Your just giving the definition of what the words mean.

No I don't think smug means that. It just means someone who's stuck up and arrogant in their opinions and have an air of superiority about them.

Head over to the dictionary thread .

    "[Music/Film/Art] is subjective":

I don't know enough about the piece or art form to assess it critically on measurable objective merits, so let's just agree that every person's opinion is as valid and informed as the next.

Don't think you quite get the idea of code words.

    Tedsimps

A word invented by me and shared with you all now for the first time.

It refers to those who feel the need to insert an image or clip from Father Ted or The Simpsons into every thread on After Hours, usually under the mistaken assumption that everyone else will find it novel and hilarious rather than boring and outdated.

The practice is most often employed by those who lack the articulate eloquence to express any thoughts they may actually possess in words.

Putting the word- "Discuss" at the end of a thread's opening post is code for: I have a completely misjudged perception of my own highly held thoughts and I hold this forum and its people in contempt.
