    Hi all,

A friend moved abroad, left a C4 3 doors 2006 2L petrol with 57K kilometres, first owner, it was working fine but now it doesn't start, connected its battery with mine and it worked perfectly however I have been told that the alternator needs to be changed, there is also a crack in the back passenger seat on the right side and few scratches on the left side of the car (nothing major).

He was asking for 4.5k but now reduced it to 3k, no NCT on the car as it expired on the 12/12. Iam tempted to offer him 2.5k and repair everything, what do you know about this car? Any well known recurrent issues ? Is it reliable and most importantly is the deal good or should I drop the price further?

    2.0 petrol, in Ireland?

    2k max I'd say

I only last week bought a 2006 five door c4 for my mother with two years nct and I got it for 3900 after a day of haggling with the seller.
2500 (if he goes for it) is a great deal even with the little jobs needed on it.

Was this on donedeal in November?

There was a 2L petrol one on then and it stook in my mind as being different and very overpriced. I was looking at the time

It was probably on donedeal in November, there 2 buyers interested to buy it for 3k or even a bit more, they have to check it first.

I am in no hurry as I already have a car, if I buy it for 2.5k I'll spend a good 500EUR between NCT and fixing few things and then I'll try to trade it for a good German car :) either a passat or a golf (maybe an Astra), so what's the value of the car if I decide to trade it?
