Hello people! I would appreciate some of your wisdom to get me started, I'm very out of the loop as regards hardware (the last PC I built had Core2Duo stuff in it, so it's three-four years at this stage haha) and I've not much idea of where to start.

    1. What is your budget? 600-850 Euros.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming! I'd like to be able to play the new DayZ standalone when it comes out (Think ARMAIII requirements). Best I can get for the money.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? I can get a copy of 7 64bit myself! The parts need to have decent linux compatibility so no Broadcom stuff please :D

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Emmm. Yes and no. I've a Samsung Spinpoint that I can pull from a external HD. I've an External DVD so dont worry about that. I'd prefer to use the HDD as it is though.

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes. As cheap as is possible though.

5a. If yes, what size do you need. 19-20" 16:9.
    6. Do you need any of these peripherals?

I Have a mouse and keyboard. I'll be needing a wireless card. Preferably not a Broadcom card for Linux compatibility.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking?
    Why not.

    8. How can you pay?
    Visa, Paypal.

    9. When are you purchasing?
    Next few months.

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based?
    Kildare!

    Thanks guys!
