Do we really appreciate these fine people with their funny little PDA thingy's you can never write your name on properly and tendency to arrive at 7.30 in the morning when your in the shower.
I for one can honestly say I do. Not just because I'm looking forward to two visits in the next couple of days but because to me couriers= new Airsoft gear/stuff from Amazon.
    Anyone else waiting on anything?
What's the biggest single order you've got?

Could not agree more and I'm always happy to receive post / packages :D

Also, this could help speed up those long delivery times:

Rumored to be in service by An Post soon ;)

With the sole exception of the courier firm used by the fine lads in Airsofteire (where next day delivery really happens!), my experience with couriers is entirely negative. The last three orders that I was expecting (as checked on the various "tracking" websites) stated that my order would be delivered next day. So I took the day off work on the three occasions, only for a no show from the couriers. I politely rang each of the firms only to be told that "I wasn't in when they tried to deliver the order". Now I live in the countryside and you have to get directions to find my house, so how did the couriers know that I wasn't in, when in fact I was? Answer, they didn't bother their ar$e even trying to deliver. Plus they had my mobile and landline numbers but never called. Oh but try explaining that to some foreign national in some call centre someplace and all you get is some robotic reply along the lines of "Does not compute".

Feckin couriers do my head in. With the exception of the ones that Airsofteire use of course. Any wonder why I tend to buy from them???

Sorry to hear about your courier problems Dave. My apologies if this thread has stirred up any painful memories. There's nothing worse than when the courier doesn't turn up and only really one answer. Kill them Dave. Kill them all
Umm anyway back on topic. My courier (from AiresoftEire. Coincidence Dave? I don't think so) did arrive this morning. Shall post some pics in the gear thread

If I get some bits and pieces from a certain asian site, "anpost" tends to deliver it, for the first few weeks the situation was reversed and the courier I'd would say probably was thinking "oh no not you again".

I seriously dogged it from the months of november and december, about 70% of the packages were airsoft related, rest was xmas pressies. Same fella came a knocking 3 times in one week.

We are now on a first name basis.

DPD is the courier for airsofteire, it used to be postal express which were better again in my opinion .

Yeah with Airsofteire or even Airsoft guns I love having the courier belt down my door at god awful hours. Like Santy at Christmas ;)

But there is one thing and one thing I hate with a fiery F****n passion, and while it isn''t courier per se, it's those poxy green slips the post man slips in your letter box casually every now and again, or in my case, the last 7 registered items I have had come to my door. You know the ones that say you have a packet, some lovely (ha right!) hand writing and makes you think you're door bell isn't working and you have to travel all the way the sorting office and know those lads by name.

I figured out what it was! The post man was too lazy to knock and get me to sign for them. I once caught him writing one out up the drive way, then I opened the door and the look on his face, lazy fecker.... /end rant.

I like couriers, makes me feel important. Hate small packets though... had to storm the weekend without my tracer because it wasn't in the S.O till today.... Still better than a kick in the a*** off an arab...

Yup, I've had the An Post green slip in the letterbox too when I was in the house. What's wrong with these guys? Are they afraid of doorbells? Or do they get some kick from you having to go to work late/leave work early to collect your parcel from the post office???

    Stop ranting Dave.

Ok back on topic, yes when a parcel does arrive, it is like Christmas. Even though you know what's in it, it's still a buzz opening it to see all the goodies:D

Have to say so do I and if I'm not there he drops it into the neighbour for me

The only tine there's a problem is if there's customs due and its a courier, then she doesn't take in the package for me

All couriers are great. They bring nice shiny new Airsoft goodness to my door, making me a very happy chappy.
Paddy our local postie is also spot on. Even holds all our letters/packages if we are on Hols.

Now the major problem I have and I'm sure this effects some of you guys as well is making sure 'The Better Half' is out when the deliveries arrive:rolleyes:

My last four cheque books are full of stubs marked 'Airsoft Crap' or 'More Airsoft Crap'. Not a happy lady!!
And she doesn't believe the 'It's not for me, its for a team mate' excuse anymore...:D
