Hi I am a bodyboarder and I am new to this.
I used to fish a lot around the Shannon Estuary and I am sure there must be some good reefs or breaks along the western half of the estuary, not far from Loop head.
The good swells must pass along by Carrigaholt and Kilbaha...
I also used to fish Dunlicky a lot and noticed that there is a good wave not far from the Cliff on the left hand side...

Have any of ye heard of any good spots along there ?

Kilbaha and Carrigaholt are surprisingly sheltered, even on big SW swells. A strong current runs through there also. There's an interesting looking bay on the north side of the loop head peninsula before the cliffs start but I've never been there in the right conditions.
