Saw this on TZ-UK, but maybe it would work better on a smaller forum like here. Magrette are looking for local watch forums to try their new watches, for members to send them from one on to the next (I think). Check out their facebook page
    What do people think?

Could be interesting. We need a noble leader to send them an email!

Great idea. Think the mods should be the ones to make the initial contact and if they have too much on then we can nominate someone else.. Logistics of getting the watch around the country to forum memners and what happens in the event of damage or it going missing will be interesting to work out!

Like B I'm kinda up to my oxsters myself, but I'd have some leeway. That said help in framing it would be defo appreciated. Ye really don't want me kicking off undiluted. :D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Well, I guess the things they're going to be interested in are how many people regularly contribute, but more importantly, and what the mods might know (?), is how many views the forum threads get per day/week, and of couse I guess we'd want to establish approx how many members are interested in trying the watch(es) on tour. Presumably anyone who got the watch would be happy to comment on/review it, and to let them know that.
I would like to think that they and we wouldn't have to give much consideration to it getting lost? I guess mods would have to approve the members it would tour as regular contributors or members who already have good references.

Just thinking ou loud here (after a few beers) :)
