Was trying to decide whether motors or travel would be best place to post this. Mods please move if you think its better suited elsewhere.

I need to rent a car in Orlando for 10 days in March. I'm 20 with full license. Last time I rented with bestratecr.com but was looking at Hertz this time and they seem very good value.

174.61 EUR for the 10 days for a Kia Rio.

    Included in the rates
Airport Concession Fee Recovery On Flight Arrivals
    Loss Damage Waiver
    Tax and other charges
    Liability Insurance Supplement
    Customer Facility Charge
    Rental Surcharge
    Vehicle Licensing Cost Recovery
    Energy Surcharge
    Unlimited Free Miles Included

    Not included in the rates
Personal Accident Insurance / Personal Effects Coverage
    PREMIUM EMERGENCY ROADSIDE SERVICE
    Refueling Options
    Additional Driver Fee

Obviously I will be paying the $15 a day underage fee. But will they be trying to sell me more insurance in Orlando or does the LDW and LIS cover pretty much everything. I'm not too worried about Personal Effects Coverage.

They'll try sell you everything that's not included in the rate! But you're covered by what's already included. Check out carhire3000.ie - They will quote you all inclusive along with the underage charge. Could work out better for you.

I used Thrifty in Boston recently. Excellent customer service and great value. I was particularly impressed with they way they explained every extra and fuel option and stressed that each extra was optional and I did not have to pay it.

Differed hugely from Hertz in Reus where they just lumped on a whole pile of extras and passed them off as a non optional extras. They were not impressed when I challenged them and eventually ended up at the quotation price.

Thanks. I tried carhire3000 but they couldn't find any cars for me at 20. If I changed my age to 21 it was fine so next year Ill use them!

Always book the cheapest car as they usually have none left when you arrive and give you an upgrade. Or just try and blag an upgrade at the counter

I'm banking on that for the honeymoon in July, booked a Chevy Impala 'or similar', but will get the Irish charm going as best we can!! The Avis guy in Florida tried to pawn off a white Hummer H3 on me last time, for an extra $200.., I declined.
