    just a quick question
    does the gaa pay taxes on money from gates, jerseys, merchandise etc

    They pay VAT on goods (merchandise, jerseys) like any other business but they don't pay tax on gate receipts afaik, I'm open to correction on that.

    Are they classed as a non profit organisation or do they report details ?

    They are the same as all sporting organisations, they have to report details, show where money is coming from and going to, if you want a set of accounts from your local club, county or Croke Park they should be (relatively) easily obtained.

    Their accounts would also need to go through normal auditing.
