Then he deserves to go to prison after he has a trial and found guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

Yes, every last one of them. What use are they to the rest of us who are law abiding?

I disagree. Let it stand. Some shit shouldn't be unsaid. I (Obviously) don't agree with the comment. It was going to happen. Use it as an example of what not to post, pending infractions / banning.

I left my game playing days behind me many years ago. If anybody goes out to harm another person or with the intention of putting another person in fear of their lives then they should expect harsh punishment and no sympathy if they end up dead as a result of their own actions.

here we go with everyone getting offended by something coz it happened in ireland, but if it happened anywhere else no-one would give 2 sh1ts

Armed scumbag is dead, law abiding people he threatened are safe.
My thoughts are with those poor decent people, hope they recover from their ordeal.

It didn't happen in Ireland, well not unless Plymoth has moved to Ireland?

Absolutely, a scumbag is a scumbag whether family or not.

Hmm, it was a betting office, I wonder how many of them were, really law abiding, if we did a background check on the witnesses?

You've never broken a single law? Never speeded a bit, even by a couple of MPH? Never kept extra change? Never done anything wrong at all?

Hmm, didn't look like any of them were trying to rob the place while armed.

Someone going into a shop with a gun has only themselves to blame if it goes pear-shaped for them. I don't have an ounce of sympathy for him. I'm not saying he deserved to die, but I don't care one whit that he is dead.

Armed up to no good in public, yes.
I would prefer they died rather than harmed some innocent member of the public.

So you equate speeding to armed robbery? No I haven't broken any laws as far as I know, I'm the type of driver that sits on or very slightly below the speed limit and pisses everyone off.

I'm sorry but I don't believe you. How can you honestly say you think your own son should die if he did that? And if you are telling the truth which I very much doubt, I feel sorry for you and yours.

I feel sorry for the victims of crime, not the scumbags who carry out the crimes.

Show some respect for a man who lost his life in the line of duty.
You are nothing but a hateful ****.

Mods, I accept my ban, but I couldn't let this go.

Why should anyone have sympathy for a family member that goes out with the intention of harming another person? Just because they are family or is there some other reason we should have sympathy for violent criminals?

Congratulations. That has to be the most moronic post on this thread (so far, at least - excluding that disgusting post that referred to Dundalk). So it's ok for an armed scumbag to threaten people, as long as it's in a betting shop, as someone there might be a criminal?

Edited reference to Dundalk post, the poster edited his post, it was just a very unfortunate coincidence.

I'm not in any way supporting what he did and I believe no crime should go unpunished but..Did you know this man?.. To say he deserved to die is a ridiculous statement to make.

No, my point is the man should not be killed by a mob, whether they be law abiding or not. Did you read the previous posts?

I can't understand this sympathy / caring attitude to scumbags either, while the victims of crimes are usually ignored.
Some victims can suffer severe trauma for the rest of their lives while the scumbags get pampered in prison, and often re offend once released.

How?, He was armed, better he died than some innocent person.

The scumbag wasn't 'attacked by a mob'
Good work by the customers in restraining him before he harmed anyone.

An armed man has died after being restrained by customers during an attempted robbery at a bookmakers, police said.

The man, in his 50s, was believed to be wearing a gas mask and holding a gun when he entered a Ladbrokes branch on Crownhill Road in Plymouth shortly before 7pm.

Customers managed to disarm him and held him on the floor while others raised the alarm, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

But you don't know if he intended to harm anyone. As I said I'm not justifying it I just think that saying he should die is harsh and uncalled for, And I also stand by what I said earlier, I don't think you would have the same opinion if it was someone close to you.

I've read the thread. Your post seemed to make some assertion that the clientele of the betting shop could be criminals, and thereby tainting the fact that they were just protecting themselves.

The bloke wasn't "killed by a mob" - he was restrained by the customers. Did you read the story?
