There is an advertisement on one of the British channels at the moment which has groups of 5 and 6 year old's mimicking adults behavior ie, one child says to another '' have another vodka '' ...to much laughter from another child but a very serious matter .

It would be interesting to interview her now, but very sad phone call.

It's terrible to think that people are going through this, I'll never understand some humans:( Here's how the family are doing in later life, from the OP's link

Through her tears, she shared with us that her mother had not changed, that her older brother was in jail, that her sister was getting into trouble, and that she feared for the future of her little brother

Well that is ok considering you were not making the call.

Well, according to UndergirlHaven on DeviantArt, she is 23:

And don't be coming back here telling us the above link is to a post made years ago; we don't want to hear it. She's 23, alright!

Plus it says she was 6 in 1991, which would make her 28-29 now.

That was horrific to listen to, it really drives home the horror of abuse.

But I'm glad it's out there, the reality is that anyone young or old can be abused. Look for the signs, keep an eye out for them, get them to talk.

That was horroble. I'm in bits after listening to it.

Good that they're using it to help others now but that made me feel sick. So sad.

I listened to it and can't get it out of my head now, its hard enough to hear that as an adult, imagine living that reality as a child.

For some its too painful to listen to.

I stopped it, steeled myself for what I was about to listen to then played it.

For some it will be like picking the scab off a healing wound and best left alone ~ for those effected by parental abuse keep that in mind.

If she called them "hundreds of times" then why the f*ck was the guy not arrested and locked up for a good chunk of his pathetic life?

Because generally in these cases unless the victims (e.g. wives etc.) press charges there's feck all the authorities can do.

    Indeed.
I fully support without hesitation all efforts by anyone to see that this type of physical/mental brutality is stopped - but I cannot bring myself to listen to something like above.
I genuinely would have it haunt my mind in sadness for some time.

That IMO is absolutely moronic, it's not just a case of an individual being harmed, psychopaths like this guy clearly is are a danger to society in general. They should in these cases be able to prosecute in the public interest even if no charges are pressed, I don't think anyone would argue that ALL OF US are safer without scum like this walking the streets like ticking time bombs

Serious change in the law required if a victim has to press charges in order for such savagery to be punished and deterred

Very sad, the operator even seemed upset and she must be used to a lot of crazy calls. Anyone know the follow up to this? Was anyone seriously hurt?

Defenceless animals and children, cruelty to them in particular get to me every time.
I find it very upsetting and can't begin to imagine what such innocent victims go through.

Not only that, but if the victim moves out of the family home for their own safety and they have joint bank accounts they have to go through the courts to get access to funds. Whole process can take months and in the meantime the victim is homeless and penniless.

Sweet Jesus, that was more disturbing than anything in the NOPE thread.
