    Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice as to what to look out for and ask when I'm viewing a second hand motor. I've the viewing later today and if the car is as good as described, I'll take it but from the ad I'm taking nothing for granted. The owner says its ever been crashed but hasn't the ford service history for the work done on the car. Silly question is the ford service history only filled in when work is done in a ford garage or should it be filled in when any work is done is any other garage?     In terms of mileage, what does the average car do per year?

    Avg milage is 10 to 15 thousand miles per year for typical owner.

    I looked at photos in add and the front bumper looks to be a different colour to the rest of car

    Op have a look at the sticky at the top of the page, it's a very good guide. Also do a cartell or motorcheck before you view the car as another poster pointed out the bumper looks like a different Colour
