Anyone else getting strange little bursts of music/noise when listening to RTE Radio?

I regularly listen to RTE Radio 1 in the car (rarely RTE2) and every so often (randomly) there seems to be a short burst of music/sound/noise in the middle of what I am listening to. Totally different to whats on. Only last a split second.

This morning I was listening to Morning Ireland and there was a burst of what sounded like rock music. But its so short you can't make out what it is. Sometimes the burst may be of people chatting, but different to whats on RTE 1 at the time. It sounds like theres another station coming in for a second.

Anyone else getting this or is my radio hammered?

Try turning off the AF function to see the issue goes away.

Maybe it's some pirate station keeping them on their feet.

Where are you when this happens?

eg if you're in Cork the AF in your car may have 88.7 or 87.8 in its list. there's pirate stations on both of those frequencies in Cork.
same with Limerick, Spirit is on 89.8 and there may be 89.8 from Cairn Hill in either Maghera or Woodcock Hill's AF list

(usually when asking about frequencies it's best to state your location in the OP or in your profile :) )

I'm in Galway and have heard a few things like this lately and it was on the radio at home and not in the car so it can't be AF.
