trackpad not working on toshiba laptop

    i have a toshibe laptop....the trackpad is not working....any ideas on how to fix this?could this be a hardware or software problem?

    You could try disabling and re-enabling it. Reinstalling the driver and then rebooting.

    AS FSL said, try these steps, if that doesn't work then it may need replacing, some are integrated into top cover but check ebay for prices

    Are you sure you didn't turn it off?

    Normally holding the "fn" but and hitting one of the F keys at the top can enable/disable the trackpad.
