    Hi,

    I'd like to buy scales for measuring my body fat percentage, just wondering if anyone can give me some recommendations of a good one to buy?

    Are fat percentage scales any good ?
    How does it determine the difference between a 6 foot man built like a siht house and a 6 foot fat man both at 18 stone

    the best way to measure body fat is using calipers and a few calculations.

    a body fat scales works by sending tiny impulses up through your feet and estimates body fat based on the time it takes for these impulses to travel uo and back, combined with your age, gender and weight.
    their one major flaw is that your body water levels can effect the readings quite a bit.
    if you did go for them, Tanita would be the best brand available.
