eircom pole

    hi just wondering would anyone out there have a rough idea the cost of what eircom would charge to move a pole 5m from the edge of the road. its a wooden pole in a rural area with a single wire on it. cheers

    You could be looking at approx €2000. It could be less, it could be more. Thats what it cost me to get a pole moved for a wind turbine delivery last year.
    1. Contact Eircom and request a survey.
    2. They will charge a fee for this which is deductible if the job goes ahead.
    3. An Engineer will come out to your site and survey the situation. He/she will report back and you will be sent a quotation.
    4. At that point, you will decide if you are to go ahead or not. You accept the quotation and pay the invoice less the survey fee.
    5. Eircom will then come out and carry out any alterations they have quoted for.

    Someone I know had a similar problem, some oul fellow on a tractor knocked it down one night and never said a word.;)
