    From what I have read the new scheme will be solely concerned with data recording (sire, calving ease, etc). Welfare aspect is not included. Just hope farmers don't go back to taking weanlings straight off the cow to the mart. It will destroy the weanling market particularly the export one. On the new scheme, of course the €80 per cow which we were getting would be great, but that's not going to happen. Getting any money for what will amount to maybe one hour on the computer in the whole year to record some data is better than a kick from a horse. Just my opinion.
