Garage conversion idea

Hi. I don't know much about building or construction. However I have plans to convert my garage.

Basically the walls (uncovered blocks) seems in good condition. They're about 40 years old. There are 4 beams running just under the roof. One beam needs repair work.

My plan is to put in a proper floor. Put up a new flat roof with skylights. Insulate and plaster the walls. Put in a new window and door. And basically make it into a chillout room.

My question is.......... with 40+ years old walls and beams, is this conversion straightforward as it sounds? Or is there something fundamental I should be aware of?
