I have a 10 month old Male, wire hair jack russell whos pretty dam nuts but a lovely little dog.

My house mate, is taking his ex girlfriends dog tomorrow for good, its a jack russell terrier cross with a greyhound he thinks. cant imagine what that looks like ha must be quite a bit bigger than Mylo and its Female. its about 6/7 months I think.

Neither of the two are neutered. I have a few quick questions if anyone would be kind enough to answer.

1-- will the bitch be in heat yet?

    2-- how will Mylo react?

    3-- will they fight?

There are male dogs either side of us aswel around the same age. They will obviously sense she is in heat too.. Really trying to put my house mate off getting her, one dog is definitely enough, but he seems adamant.

Oh yeah definitely don't want pups. going to get Mylo neutered before his one year.

If your housemates dog is 6-7 months, she could go into heat at anytime. I'd neuter/spay ASAP!

Your dog may be a bit put out, he might be fine. They might fight, they might not.

Introduce them slowly. Best of luck.

you would be unlucky if a dog and bitch fight they are usually a good combination to get on together

and as already advised the sooner the better to get the bitch neutered
