I did post the article associated with this piece.. but read an interview with Samm Levine (Neal Schweiber) all about this Vanity Fair photoshoot so I'd to dig it up.

This was printed last month, but completely passed me by!

Judd Apatow put out a last minute e-mail / call to each and everyone of the cast (both regulars and not so regulars) and crew of 'Freaks And Geeks' and got them all back for a big ass photoshoot to go along with the article.

He'd thought he'd get a few of them but he did pretty damn well.. and it's a superb shot!

Bottom row: Jason Schwartzman, Natasha Melnick, John Francis Daley, Jason Segel, Linda Cardellini, James Franco, Busy Philipps, Sarah Hagan, Stephen Lea Sheppard, and Samaire Armstrong.

Second row: Lizzy Caplan, Becky Ann Baker, Joe Flaherty, David Krumholtz, Samm Levine, Martin Starr, Seth Rogen, Dave “Gruber” Allen, Thomas F. Wilson, Claudia Christian, and Justin Falvey (former Dreamworks development executive).

Third row: Judd Apatow (writer/director/executive producer), Shaun Weiss, Sam McMurray, Amy Aquino, Mark Allan Staubach, Jarrett Lennon, Jake Kasdan (director/consulting producer), and Jerry Messing.

Last row: Brent White (editor), Debra McGuire (costume designer), Russ Alsobrook (cinematographer), Jeff Judah (writer/supervising producer), Tara Timpone (editor), Victor Hsu (producer), Gabe Sachs (writer/supervising producer), Allison Jones (casting director), Dan McDermott (former head of Dreamworks TV), and J. Elvis Weinstein (writer/supervising producer).

Lots more photos here with everyone from the main cast to the likes of Mr Russo, Cindy Sanders, The Weir Family, The Haverchuck Family (including Coach Fredricks), The Schweiber Family, Sara (aka Lizzy Caplan), Milie, Harris and Mr Kowchevski.

It is insane how little or how much some of them have changed!

Linda Cardellini looks nearly the same.

Couldn't pick John Francis Daley out of a line-up..

.. although anyone familiar with 'Bones' will recognise him from that.

John Francis Daly has changed the most out of anyone, with Natasha Melnick coming in a close second and then Martin Starr. When you look at Starr now and in Freaks & Geeks, it's insane to think he's with Alison Brie - that lucky, lucky, lucky bastard.

Becky Anne Baker has changed a lot too!

Could be wrong.. but think that was all a rumour as they were starring in a movie together ('Save The Date').

Last I heard, she was actually going out with James Franco's brother Dave.

    Harris looks the same! :D

I love that show. It is a damn shame that it never got a second season.

Cheers for the links Basq, although this has just given me the realisation that they'll never un-cancel this great programme as everyone's now too old. Stupid brain making me think it was still the early 2000s

really what a cast, i forgot lizzy caplain, Jason Schwartzman and Samaire Armstrong were in the show, were they in it much?

where are some of them now though? look at samm levine, lots of bits parts but hasn't had regular part in a tv show in 13 years, he's new show Do No Harm that has atleast 1 season

Can't picture Samaire Armstrong - but Jason Schwartzmann was the guy who helped them get the fake ID's - worked in a clothes shop IIRC.

Most recent thing I saw Samm Levine was one of the Basterds in Inglourious Basterds. He's also a regular host on Kevin Pollak's podcast.

That's an amazing photo. It's great that they managed to get everyone (especially guys like Franco who could easily just think "I'm too big for this").

I reckon they managed it because it's a show the actors and crew are proud of being part of and have fond feelings for themselves. Can't say that too often working in tv I'd imagine.

No Rashida Jones ?? This is an outrage !! :pac:

I guess she was only a guest star.

One of the greatest seasons of TV ever... John Francis Daly is now about four times the size he was then :)

No Ben Foster or Shia LaBoeuf either.. but can't have 'em all.

Shame Paul Feig couldn't make it either actually.

Great share Basq. amazing to see how everyone is now.

Can't think of any other show (maybe Cheers) where so many of them went so far afterwards

I know Ben Foster was excellent as the special kid, but Shia LaBoeuf was in as well...?

Ahaha! I couldn't find LaBoeuf on IMDB (he's not credited at all there), but did a quick search on Google and he was the team mascot! Brilliant.

Yep, small role (but had a few lines) as the injured "Funky Chicken" mascot..

My fault - mispelled his name... Shia LaBeouf - down there as "Herbert".

It's odd that he's not even credited on IMDB, even if for a few lines - I mean he's a well known actor that appeared in a well known TV show.

Ha, he's not coming up on the Freaks and Geeks IMDB but coming up on his own.

He's there alright.. and credited as Herbert.

He's coming up as Biff on both the Back to the Future 2 IMDB and his own. What I didn't know is that he voiced a character in Gargoyles! Excellent.

@Basq, yeah, could see him there. Just found it funny he wasn't on the Freaks and Geeks one. Didn't even think to look at his own IMDB. Doi.

Damn Ninja edits. I was replying to a post that seems to have been deleted and now I look like I'm talking about nothing. Boo. Ah well, at least I discovered that about Gargoyles and now I have a hankering to watch some episodes.

Looks like you need to be in 2 or more episodes to be included there..

Did it ever get an R2 DVD release over here?

I wish some channel would repeat it all from the start again, seems like it would be a good fit for E4 or TG4 even

Nope, and it never will due to music rights.

It took them long enough to get "regional" music rights for the episode.. but "global" music rights is a completely different kettle of fish.

Got the R1 boxset on release for about €40 from CDWOW... one of my favourite boxsets.

Speaking of the music, I'm in the mood for some Joan Jett now.

Only got to watch this show in full last year - really enjoyable. In restrospect - Ending was awful given that the show was cancelled. :( Zero closure.

cari argos from the good wife in it to for a few seconds.
