    Ah!

I just realised at 5:15pm today that i forgot to sign-on on january 9th and to make matters worse i wont be able to go into them untill January 31st!!! Im about to get on a bus to London and wont be back until friday week.

I got my money last week no problem but when it wasnt there today i remembered. I got nothing in the post to tell me i missed it.

What will happen if i leave it until then? And what will happen if i manage to get threw on the phone from the uk tomorrow?

(Im off the the uk as ive been offered a job In london but wont be starting for about a month as its public sector and i have to get all sorts of vetting checks and paper work done before they'll give me a start date)

Your not allowed to go on holidays unless you tell them because it is considered that you are not looking for work. As its for a job interview you may need to produce evidence of this. Try to get some evidence that you are away because of the interview, and then go into your social welfare office when you are back.
Good luck with the interview. Hope you get the job! :)

Not true. On Jobseekers you are allowed a 2 week holiday per year. Theres a form you have to fill in at the welfare office before you leave, then its all good.

As for the signing you need to go in there ASAP or they will cut you off or maybe already have. You might have to start all over again with your claim if you dont go in ASAP.
