    Hi Guys,

I just wondering, i had my nct last week and it failed due to fact there is no airbag light showing up on the dashboard before i start the car and to be honest im not sure there ever was, so my question relates to the fact i had a brand new body control module fitted under a year ago due to water leak which was located under the footwell on the drivers side so i am i wondering does this module control the functioning of the airbag indication light, or what could be the possible problem? Its a 2002 mini cooper.

I think that's a separate module. The airbag light should definitely come on and go off when you turn on the ignition.

Sounds like someone could have had the led light behind the dash removed or something - some of those early minis are a curse for airbag lights coming on due to bad connectors under the seat.

There is a test function you can enable through certain key turns and dash button presses - not sure if it is different to what happens when you turn the key the first click. If every other light works except for airbag I'd suspect it was nobbled by someone in the past.
