I'm using a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and would like a better keyboard than the default to give me easy access to @, /, .com, .ie, apostrophes etc

Any particular recommendations, before I download them all..

And while I'm asking, does anyone know what the dault key on the bottom right of the default keyboard does? Its got a strange character on it that looks a bit like a battery charging..

I use smart keyboard pro with the black theme. Has all the longpress keys, even ones on the symbols keyboard for quick access to ¥¢¿€± etc.

I've not used swift key on a tablet, but on a phone it's lovely (and you can install Irish language pack if you so desire)

    Plus 1 for this.

It's absolutely amazing. I downloaded it the other week and was showing my brother, who has an iphone 5 the other day. He was blown away with it. Everybody I text in front of just keep staring.

SwiftKey in general is amazing though. The way it remembers your phrases and mannerisms is quite scary at times. It's all very "skynet"

    I love it

Slideit is good too, you can resize it so it takes up less screen space.

Has anyone done any in-depth speed/accuracy testing on the leading keyboard apps? I might give it a go myself with a few and see what the results are.

The SwiftKey application keeps accuracy efficiency and heat map data.

I'm trying the flow version of swiftkey but not sure I like it. It's not as accurate I don't think. Also, watching the videos, I cannot get the 'swype backwards to delete' to work

I use it too, and I honestly don't understand why its not more popular. It's far superior and more customizable than any other keyboard out there.

Thumb Keyboard 4 is excellent IMO. Tried a few others and its been by far the best experience.

Its got tablet orientated ones but phone mode is equally awesome.

    Xperia S btw.

The swype to delete doesn't work when flow is enabled. It picks it up as a gesture and tries to type so they disabled it
