O2 - Buying online cheaper but MORE hassle !

My GF bought an Xperia Tipo two weeks ago. Online it was 20 quid cheaper. Great.

But after discovering it was seriously faulty from the get go, we discovered that the O2 shops refused to help at all. She had to repackage the phone and send it back to O2 by post and wait for them to test it before they 'might' supply a new one, or a repaired one.

Meantime she is having to go without a phone.

A salutary lesson in my view. The saving online is nice, but the potential downside, which they never tell you when you are buying, is a real pain in the a$$ !
