    Hello folks,

So as the title says i'm looking for a speed detector and im not sure what one to get simply because I am sure there are a lot of crappy ones out their that wont detect out new speed vans here in Ireland.

I was wondering if anyone has or had one and if it worked to either jam the signal or alert you of upcoiming speed van's/guns or guarda cars that are on the road?

Any advise will be much appreciated, Thanks. :D

They're illegal in Ireland. You're in for a whole world of trouble if you get caught with one.

I wonder what stops someone who's good with electronics to:
Attach sensor/reader to front of the car, bumper (blend it to look like parking sensor)
Connect sensor to some chip inside car, then chip to the cars built in LCD/GPS like many cars have :D

You already have one installed. Its a combination of your eyes, your speedometer, and your right foot. Perfectly legal to use, and won't cost you a penny. Unless incorrectly used of course...

Anybody know where I could get one for my high horse?

    ;)

by the time it lights up, the speed will already have been caught on the gun

only very high end detectors will offer any advance warning, and it won't be s massive amount of warning anyway.

your best bet is to research the subject on other dedicated forums.
