Hi all, I have purchased a VW Passat 2004 Comfortline from a trusted friend on a great deal, have seen it before on outside etc but can't remember what it looks like inside. Bought the insurance the other day and when I entered the reg said it was a Comfortline. However, when I look online it says all comfortline's are 130bhp but the current owner reckons it's a 100bhp?

Anyone have any personal experience if all comfortline's in 2004 are 130bhp? don't think it's an import

Check the engine code. There are three possibilities.

    AVB is 100bhp.

    AWX is 130bhp 5 speed.
    AVF is 130bhp 6 speed.

A few different places but the easiest to find are:

Data sticker in the boot (usually in the spare wheel well)
Second copy of the data sticker on the inside cover of the service booklet
Sticker on top of the timing belt cover on the front of the engine
On the VLC (tax book) where the engine number is listed. The first 3 digits are the engine code.
