thx for all your replies to my last thread. i have now decided to get rid of the sky box cos there is too much hassle turning over the channel. What i would like to know is what would be the simplest box to use for free to air bearing in mind the father in law is getting on in years and does not want anything too complicated.
    thx in advance
    peter

Get something Freesat branded, got the easiest EPG to use, and will auti update when new channels come online.

Can be bought fairly cheaply, especially bog standard SD ones. If you have a HD ready TV, then go for the HD versions, and if you think he will be able to master it, the Freesat+ box will act like a Sky+ and allow recording, pausing live TV etc.

Personally I woukld spend extra and get a decent branded one, like a Humax, rather than a cheapo Goodmans or Bush one.
