I'm looking for a new watch that is automatic, waterproof, non steel bracelet and looks timeless. I have an Omega Seamaster but looking for more of a everyday watch (tried wearing this every day and the bracelet gets scratched to bits - desk job).

I love the looks of mondaine watches and prefer the clean watch face look.

But I'm wondering am I missing any other manufacturers. Willing to spend €400 max (i know that isn't that much).

Love the nav b. no swimming/shower though would lead me to believe its not very water resistant.

Any more suggestions like the nav b and in the same price range? its dial is to die for!

Not really too similar to what's been mentioned, but just in case:

Get a strap for the Seamaster and change the look without reducing the quality!

Eoin: nice watch, but i'm afraid it's just not me if you get me.

I had thought of getting a new strap for the seamaster, but there are a few occasions where i'd like to wear the seamaster and bracelet, and would rather not have to always chop and change.

sorry i should have mentioned in the OP that I'm incredibly picky.

most people who are "into watches" are incredibly picky

don't like the font - the font colour - numbers vs hour markers - wavey dial - thinning bracelets - lum on the second hand - second hand not aligning exactly with 12 etc

Hamilton Khaki Pilot Auto - Nav B dial, WR 200m, Swiss auto:

    www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0038YY92K/

If that's too big (46mm) or too expensive there is a quartz version.

    Aristo have a nice SELECTION

of Fliegeruhren, most of them within budget

    example:

however, my personal favourite at the moment for a "timeless look" would be the FLATLINE SERIES from Zeppelin (retail 399.--)

You're dead right to be picky

    What about the Tissot Visodate?

Gosh darn it....every time I think I am all sorted, someone always pops up with something else that I want....

    ;)

the hamilton is a tad pricey also it's massive, I'm a big enough lad but i have tiny wrists. Also would prefer to stick with automatic.

The aristo looks nice, but the crown (is that the right word) is gigantic, sorry for my relative newb-ish views but is there an advantage to that or is it just for ease of use and mine's bigger than yours ;)?

zeppelin is a gorgeous watch, not sure on the numerals.

    tissot visodate

hmm not a fan of that particular look.

So far the steinhart - http://www.steinhartwatches.de/en/NavB-Uhr-44-vintage-TITANIUM-B-Type,589.html and the aristo (if it was smaller) are winning for me, like both straps, like that the steinhart doesn't have a logo on the watch face and is titanium (i'm a sucker for titanium :pac:). the aristo is a close second, is there a 44mm version?

The text for this watch says that the crown pictured is 10 mm dia, but that they now sell it with an 8 mm crown (other people must have shared your objections :D)

THIS ONE is basically the same watch, only in b/w and with a regular crown.

EDIT: water resistance isn't exactly great at 3ATM

    There's a Mondaine on here with 65% off but it's quartz :(.

    http://www.thewatchhut.co.uk/Mondaine-Gents-Black-Leather-Strap-Watch-A4683035214SBB.html

I don't know whether it's one of the quartz models that mimics the SBB 58 second thingie. It would be moderately cool if it was.
