How do I know if he also loves me?

HI! well this is the Story...

He is 21 and Im 18 yo.! He is Irish from Dublin and Im from abroad. We met around 3 months ago and I liked him since saw him!
We've been seeing each other almost every weekend as we both work during the week. Now I have to say I've never had a boyfriend before or been in love, however Im pretty sure that I do feel something for him.

We usually go to the cinema, for lunch, dinner, a walk around the beach, party.... and we always end having sex. I also met his friends as He met mine ones. we always look at each other for a while without saying a single word, just looking into our eyes.

Now, the problem i have is... always I say I miss you, or things like that He never answers me! He just looks at me and kisses me!. One day I told him I really like you so much and I got not reply. In my country relationships move so much quickly but here I dont understand what we are... I mean.. is it just sex for the weekened? or is it normal for Irish people be that cold? Im just wonder dont wanna offend anyone!!! Please help me Im really afraid of falling in love.

Best way to find out is to talk to him, it is the only real way of finding out his feelings and where he wants it to go

Could be a number of things:

• He feels something for you, but doesn't know what it is
• He's been hurt before and is scared of commitment
• He's young, care free, doesn't want anything serious, but just wants a regular **** buddy instead of sleeping around
• A mix of the above
• None of the above

Some people find it easier to express affection verbally then others. It often doesn't mean that those who don't, feel any less loving that those that do. The Irish perhaps are less forthcoming than other nationalities in expressing such full on terms of endearment verbally.

From what you describe, he does seem to show that he has feelings for you in other ways though. These actions can express how he feels far better than mere words...I'm sure a wife beater can tell his wife he loves her as she nurses her black eye so don't overly focus on words as sometimes they are just that.

3 months is a little early imo for professing undying love to each other. Why not enjoy what you have with him and let the relationship evolve without testing his love for you by expecting certain responses. Use your intuition if you feel he is just using you as a f**k buddy but from how you describe him, that doesn't appear to be the case at all.

I'm an old romantic. I've had two occasions in my life where I felt something that was... on both occasions, I have grabbed it with both hands. Thankfully, the first time, it was the "build up"...second time around, CLASS and it made up for all the concern, its the business....go with it. enjoy it, explore it....take it and build from it....

18 is too young to be getting caught up in a relationship IMO.

I apologise in advance for this post, I'll try and not get too mushy

When i first started going out with my boyfriend, he told me loved me after two weeks. I said nothing in response. A big tear rolled down his eye.

He told me a couple more times again and again over the next few months. I can't remember what I said, but it WASN'T I love you.




I knew I really liked him, but I was intimidated by his telling me he loved me.




I began to understand, and accept, what love is (really is) a couple of years later. So much more than the physical. Thankfully, in the early days, my boyfriend learned to cool it with telling me how much he loved me... it was freaking me out, I was only 22 at the time.




11 years later we are still faithfully together and will be until the day one or both of us dies.
