Getting tickets for Lion King in the West End?

Hi, what's the best way to go about getting good seats for the Lion King in the West End for a good price?

The last time I was in London myself and my friend wanted to go to see one of the big shows like The Lion King or Les Mis but tickets were all sold out on the morning of the show (well all the good seats anyway) - we went to the box offices around Leicester Square.

    They're very expensive online.

Any tips on getting the best value and is it best to buy well in advance or on the day. Should we go to the actual theatre where it's on - would there be discounts there?

    Thanks :)

Lion King is almost never discounted, it still pulls phenomenal audiences. You won't get it at tkts.

Check out the show page on theatremonkey.co.uk it usually has information about day seats for shows if they do them (a limited number of seats for that day at a discounted price, some shows limit these to students)

Also worth checking out Broadwaybox.com 's London discounts page, just in case

Yep, Lion King never discounts, never takes part in ticket promotions and doesn't do day seats.
It's still packing them in and is massive with foreign tourists visiting.
