Why are Sky so persistent getting old customers back?

I cancelled my Sky for the last time in October after receiving free TV for 20 months thanks to them ringing me each time I cancelled, offering me €50 credit and no contract.

Since, October they rang me 3 times with the same offer, but I'm not bothered getting Sky back because I really don't watch TV that much anymore.

Why do they continue to go to the trouble if I'm not actually paying them anything? And at that, my bill when I was paying was only €12.50 a month so I'm not exactly a top paying customer or anything.

But they're gaining nothing from me.
I haven't given them a cent in nearly 2 years because they kept bringing me back by offering me free TV.

Keeps the shareholders happy when they are shown the subscriber figures.

You showed an interest by subscribing in the past. Plus, you probably still have the equipment in place. €12.50/month is better than getting nothing.

They are like herpes, you will never be rid of them.
