ive a heifer on the slats with others, yesterday morning she was fine, but yesterday after dinner i went out to the shed and she was on 3 legs. the back right leg is all gathered up, its like shes holding the full leg up and and the foot seems to be tighten up to, if thats the right way to explain it. she will not put the foot to the ground at all and leg and foots seems to be tightened up in that position. any ideas lads of what this is

I'd say get her off the slats onto a bedded shed.
She may just have twisted it a bit if there was a bit of pucking going on.

Being off the slats would speed up recovery.
