I'm just wondering what is the going rate for supervising junior/leaving cert exams?

Something like 120 a day (thought I think they have changed this into 60 ish per sessions so superintendents who are only in for the morning dont get paid for a full day) and you also get around 250 for the first day of collection of the papers

It's about €110 per day plus expenses.
1st timers usually get 7-9 days.

You get €255ish for the Tuesday when you pick up the box of scripts, watch a video on how to be a superintendent & set up your centre.

You get €500 advance, you pay your attendant out of this and you get the balance in August.

Thanks for all the replies. I sent away the application today. Does anyone know how long before they get back to you?

Yes. I've never applied on time though and got it every year I applied (I probably won't get it this year now). Also the OP is asking about supervision, is he/she not? Is it the same date for both?
I imagine the date for supervision would be earlier given that you'd (presumably) be starting earlier.

Sorry I meant to say superintendent in my original post, not examiner. Think the superintendent closing date was last friday, and the examiner is this week some time.

The closing date for both is the 25th January.
The recruitment of examiners involves far more people. The Supervision recruitment is not that complicated.

Closing date for examiners was last Friday according to the letter I got and mine was for junior cert science which is one of the last exams, so if it is different dates for different exams, it's still likely to be one of the last.

Not that that's that relevant to this thread.

Edit - maybe that date is for people who've done it before.

It's the date on the SEC site.

Superintendent closing date - Jan 25th

Examiner closing date - Jan 18th

Since there seem to be two dates advertised, the later one will have to apply to both.
