    Hi Folks,

Wondering if anyone has any ideas for me. I have a mixer shower almost identical to the one below, however the temperature control has gone AWOL. I dont even have a broken one, its just disappeared.

Anyone know where I could pick up a replacement control without having to purchase the entire unit (which seems to cost approx €200 or more)?

At the moment there's just a gold twister sticking out of the wall where the temperature gauge once was

Your shower was imported from Asia by Shires , who dont exist any more, your one and only hope is Smallmans in Ranelagh, Dublin.

It could also be an ethos shower from national brass. They were exact copies of each other but as Liffey said above I really doubt you will find parts. I would chance my arm with the likes of small mans as well.

    Best if luck

Thanks for the above, I'll give them a go. Are these parts all "one size fits all"? It wouldn't particularly bother me if it wasnt a match to the original, I just dont want it left undone altogether

No the parts would have been all specific, so they are not interchanagable.

chances are some old tap knob will do the job. If the other knob is the same, take it off, bring it on a hunt to all the plumbing suppliers.

Just came from the house and upon closer inspection its a shires shower. Pic below. Would the above shops stock this stuff or should I call them directly?

It was branded for Shires they never made Showers, Shires closed down about 3 or 4 years ago.

Any idea if an alternative would fit onto the cartridge in the picture?

The one and only hope you might have is to try Smallmans in Ranelagh, if you have no luck there, you will be replacing the whole shower.
