    Hi
I'm looking for a new amp to go with existing Bose 901 speakers. Any recommendation
    Thanks Tom

    hargo,

interesting speakers and they need to be well driven - I know we don't have a budget outline but my immediate thought would be to use a Roksan Kandy K2 amplifier ( you have to have an amp which has separate preamp or Tape look to connect the active equaliser that should have come with your 901's) The K2 is suitable for this:

    The K2 is currently £794.95

If you would like another option you could use the Arcam A18 at £369.95

Finally if you want a complete powerhouse you could go for the Cambridge Audio Azur 851A at £999.95 (this one comes with free delivery)

As above of course all the above are where I would go - but without any advice regarding budget! - if you want to give me some rough guidelines I'll have a look and give you some other suggestions,

    Thanks again,

Hi John thanks for the quick reply.  To be honest I haven't thought about a budget yet and wanted to hear suggestions with a blank canvas.  It's 20 years since I bought an amp and want something to get the most out of my speakers.   Do you have any of that gear in stock as I would bring my speakers to listen when ready.

    Hargo,

at the moment the Arcam and the Roksan are available in stock for demo - the Cambridge is short on stolc but we do have the 651a available if you want to get a taste of what the 851a can offer..

Keep us posted if you are planning a trip,

    Thanks again,
