When should one put window boards in a new build.
My windows are in and waiting on pumping of the cavity wall and internal insulated boards which to be done this week. Plasterers are on site (weather permitting!)

I usually see it done when the carpenter is back putting in skirtings and doors etc.
I suppose just before painting etc and other finishing touches.

Ours were put in before the plasterers started, so that they could plaster them in place. We used shellac sealer to protect them from the plaster.

    Same as this.

Depends on what expense your going to when buying them, if oak or ash put them in after plastering,it takes a little longer as cuts have to be spot on and neat to the plaster but if your putting in red deal or something that's cheaper you could do as above and seal them and mask them and fit them before plastering with your door frames.thats usually what we advise when doing a house.

Thanks everyone for yor advice. I went for teak to match the teak aluclad windows we installed before the xmas. Think i will put them in after plastering.
